Gas mask tin and straps Post by johnnewc » 02 Jun 2017, 20:09 Looking for help here from any experts as I can't seem to find the answer through searching books on the subject.I am looking for a set of gas mask straps to go with a tin but am unsure exactly what I am looking for with regard to these (never having bought any before).

Product Description. New reproduction strap set for the Cas Mask Canister. These were sewn to the canister unlike the WWII version. Set has two straps, one to wear around the neck and one to button the canister to the front of the feldbluse to keep it centered on the body. Made of canvas with leather tabs like the originals.

Original German WWII Gasmask Container Dated 1943 With Post War Strap Set- It has a new sewn on pull tab and comes with post war shoulder and belt hook strap set. Dated 43 on the spare lens compartment and does have some slight rust on the metal sleeve insert. Retains a majority of the original factory paint, but has some rust spots in one area.
